Michael Remchuk is a UVA Ballroom Dance Club alumnus, having graduated from the University in 2011 with bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Physics and again in 2012 with a Master’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Teaching. While a member of UVa’s Ballroom Dance Club Michael showed an interest in supporting members by teaching choreography review classes, technique classes in all four dance styles, and facilitating open practice sessions. After graduation Michael continued his work with the club by hosting Standard workshops and open practice sessions for the club.
Starting in the Fall of 2015, Michael will be teaching Silver Standard lessons, imparting his knowledge and love of these dances to the club. As a competitor Michael has competed through the Silver level of both American styles, the Gold level of Latin, and most recently competed with partner Colleen Buchanan at the Pre-Championship level in International Standard.
