We invite you to dance the night away at the 2022 Rotunda Ball! This beautiful event will be held in the Dome Room of the Rotunda on September 3rd from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
 
Come enjoy a night of dancing with music by DJ Peter Collins, an elegant photo backdrop, and featured performances throughout the evening.

Dress code: Formal/Black Tie

Tickets: $17 for one | $30 for two
Cash, Check (Made out to the Ballroom Dance Club at UVA), or Venmo (@Shunkai-Ding) accepted in advance or at the door.

Activities Fair Spring 2021

Free Lessons this Tuesday! Latin Webinar the Following Tuesday

Come join us at our first two virtual lessons of the semester!  On Tuesday, September 15th, Lee Santos will be teaching American Smooth from 7-7:45pm, and Vlad Dolya will be teaching International Latin from 8-9pm.  This is open to everyone and designed for people to participate at home, so bring your friends and join at the zoom link embedded in the QR code.

The following Tuesday, September 24th, we will be having our first Webinar on the Latin dances.  Information about how to participate will be released next week, so mark your calendars!

2020 Fall Information Meeting, Activities Fairs

The Ballroom Dance Club will be at the HackCville Activities Fair on Friday 8/28 from 12-3PM and the Student Council Virtual Activities Fair on Monday 8/31 2-4PM! These fairs provide an opportunity for prospective dancers to learn more about Ballroom at UVA and how to join.  To attend the August 28th fair, simply join this zoom call anytime between 12-3pm.  To attend the August 31st fair, join this zoom call anytime between 2-4pm.

On September 8th, we begin our series of Tuesday lessons with a information sessions and webinar that will go in-depth about collegiate ballroom dancing and the opportunities provided by our club. To attend this free information session, join at this zoom link at 8pm.

2019 Masquerade Ball

Masquerade Ball

The Masquerade Ball is an annual ballroom event where we invite the public to join us in a fun, mask-themed social dance. The event is hosted by Ballroom Dancing Club at UVA and cohosted by Salsa club and Swing club. It is open to the entire UVa community, and we play a variety of ballroom, salsa, and pop music. The event is free and mini dance lessons will be held at the beginning of the night! Light refreshments are provided! There are also typically masks for sale for those that don’t have them. It’s really a ton of fun, come and see for yourself! The masquerade ball will be held in Newcomb Ballroom on September 14th at 7:00 pm!
